FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says that team-mate Cesc Fabregas will not leave the club.

Former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique says there is no chance of Barcelona team-mate Cesc Fabregas leaving the club.

The Red Devils have made two bids for Fabregas, the second was worth £30 million. Both bids have been rejected by Barcelona.

Pique insists that David Moyes is wasting his time.

“United are wasting their time,” Pique said in ‘The Sun.’

“It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won’t give it up. This is home, it is where his family is, and he is playing with his closest friends.

“He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona.”

The 26-year-old is thought to be David Moyes’s top transfer target at Old Trafford this summer.

“I think a point does come but when you are interested in good players you want to give it every opportunity to materialise — and I’ll do that,” he said.
